Technical Design

This section highlights my experience developing technical packages, digital flats, croquis illustrations, and concept sketches throughout the product development process. These materials serve as essential communication tools, translating design concepts into clear visual and technical documentation for development, sampling, and production.

All digital flats were created from scratch using Procreate, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop. Each illustration was carefully developed to accurately represent garment construction, proportions, design details, and material specifications. Through these technical drawings and presentations, I demonstrate my ability to communicate design intent effectively while supporting collaboration between design, development, and manufacturing teams.

Collection 2 DRGNFLY keychain 2022

This concept sketch represents the initial design phase of the accessory, focusing not only on its visual appearance but also on how it would function, move, and interact with the user. Special consideration was given to the overall user experience, ensuring that the accessory was both aesthetically engaging and practical for everyday use.

Working directly with the manufacturer, I developed and communicated detailed product specifications, including closure mechanisms, colorways, material selections, dimensions, and construction requirements. The accessory was produced using zinc alloy metal, chosen for its durability, premium appearance, and ability to support intricate detailing. Through clear technical communication and design documentation, I ensured that the final product accurately reflected the original design intent while meeting quality and functionality standards.

DRGNFLYINTHESKY keychain

This initial concept sketch and technical package were developed to communicate design specifications to manufacturing vendors for the production of custom PVC keychains. The technical package included detailed artwork, dimensions, color specifications, material requirements, and production notes to ensure accurate execution throughout the manufacturing process.

PVC was selected for its durability, flexibility, and ability to reproduce vibrant colors with a high level of detail. Material selection was a key consideration, as the product was intended to withstand everyday wear while maintaining its visual quality over time. The use of PVC ensured long-lasting color retention and structural integrity, resulting in a product that remains visually impactful throughout its lifecycle.

Digitial Campaigns

This section presents two digital campaigns developed to drive intentional consumer engagement and guide audiences toward product interaction and purchase. Each campaign was built around a product created with purpose, ensuring that design, storytelling, and marketing direction were aligned with the target audience’s values, lifestyle, and aesthetic preferences.

My approach focused on creating relevance between the product and the consumer through strategic narrative development and visual communication. Each campaign was structured with a planned rollout timeline, beginning with pre-release content to build anticipation, generate awareness, and measure audience response prior to launch.

Across both projects, I developed campaign direction that combined product positioning, content strategy, and engagement-driven marketing. The result was increased consumer interaction throughout the campaign lifecycle, reflected through engagement metrics and/or direct sales, demonstrating the effectiveness of intentional, design-led marketing strategies.

“SEe Better” 2025

The “See Better” campaign was a four-week marketing initiative developed to support the initial online launch of a new sunglasses product line. The concept was centered on creating a deeper emotional connection between the product and the consumer by encouraging a more personal and introspective approach to self-image.

The campaign explored the idea that contemporary fashion and material culture often influence how individuals perceive and define themselves. Through this lens, the objective was to position the sunglasses not only as a functional accessory, but as a medium for self-reflection and identity expression. The campaign encouraged audiences to “look inward,” reinforcing the idea that true style begins with self-awareness and confidence.

Ultimately, “See Better” aimed to challenge the viewer to see themselves beyond physical appearance, promoting self-appreciation and individuality. In this context, the sunglasses become more than an accessory—they serve as a symbolic extension of the wearer’s identity, transforming the act of putting them on into an expression of confidence, clarity, and self-expression.

RIP KObe 2021

This collaborative project was developed in partnership with digital artist Tre, who created an original digital artwork honoring Kobe Bryant’s legacy and achievements. The design was then produced onto custom-printed fleece blankets, which served as the foundational textile for a series of reconstructed bubble jackets.

The concept was rooted in creating a wearable tribute that honored Kobe Bryant’s life, impact, and legacy while also reflecting shared lived experience. As Chicago-based designers, Tre and I drew inspiration from our environment and long winter seasons, which informed the decision to reinterpret the blanket material into insulated outerwear. I utilized a bubble jacket pattern originally developed during my first runway collection, adapting it specifically for this project to accommodate the structure and weight of the printed textile.

The development process included multiple sampling stages, resulting in three completed prototype jackets. Following this, we expanded the project into a limited online raffle release of three additional jackets, with proceeds donated to the official Kobe Bryant foundation. The raffle launched two weeks prior to the one-year anniversary of Kobe and Gianna Bryant’s passing, reinforcing the commemorative intent of the project.

This section includes documentation of the printed blankets, the original digital artwork, the first and second blanket iterations, and promotional photoshoot imagery used to support the raffle campaign.

BESPOKE PIECES

This collection showcases a series of custom cut-and-sew garments developed through a collaborative design process between myself and each individual client. While every project began with a unique vision, creative direction was shared throughout the development process to ensure the final product authentically reflected the client's personal style and objectives.

Each garment involved careful consideration of inspiration, textile selection, colorway development, silhouette design, fit, and construction details. By combining client input with my technical expertise in design and garment development, these concepts were transformed into fully realized pieces that balanced creativity, functionality, and craftsmanship.

The resulting garments represent a fusion of artistic vision, technical execution, and collaborative problem-solving, demonstrating my ability to translate ideas into wearable products tailored to the needs of diverse clients.

ARMANII 2 PIECE SET ( Jacket + Pant)

I was commissioned by Jamaican reggae recording artist Armanii to design and create a custom two-piece leather ensemble for his debut performance at the 2024 Reggae Sumfest festival. The project required a stage-ready look that would deliver strong visual impact while maintaining comfort, mobility, and performance functionality.

The jacket featured a zip-front closure, two functional pockets, and hand-applied jewel embellishments that were individually sewn and secured to create a striking, light-reflective surface. The coordinating pants were designed with a tailored fit, six-pocket construction, and a flared hem silhouette, balancing contemporary styling with performance practicality.

Designed to command attention under the stage lights, this custom ensemble served as a statement piece that amplified Armanii's stage presence and complemented the energy of his debut Sumfest performance.

KIDDKENN BET 2021 2-piece suit (Coat + Pant)

I was commissioned by hip-hop recording artist KIDD KENN to design and create a custom two-piece suit for his appearance at the 2021 BET Hip Hop Awards. The objective was to develop a look that would be visually impactful, functional, and reflective of his unique artistic identity and personal style.

The design process began with a reference image provided by the client, which served as the foundation for concept development and customization. From there, I created original design sketches and refined the garment through multiple stages of development to ensure the final product aligned with the client's vision while maintaining a high standard of craftsmanship.

The finished suit incorporated several custom details, including a coordinating belt, ribbed sleeve cuffs, ribbed detailing along the lapel, and four functional pockets integrated into the trousers. Careful attention was given to both aesthetic impact and wearability, resulting in a statement piece designed to stand out on a nationally televised stage.

Conceptual Brand development

This section highlights my ability to conduct market research, analyze and forecast trends, and translate findings into cohesive brand direction. It showcases my process of developing original croquis and technical flats, along with designing commercially viable products that align with a defined target market. These conceptual brand development projects emphasized both creative development and strategic design thinking, requiring a balance between aesthetic expression and market-driven decision-making to produce a unified, commercially relevant collection. Through these brands, I demonstrate the ability to move from concept ideation to product execution with a strong balance of creativity, technical skill, and market awareness.

Maternity-wear 2017

As my final capstone project, this collection served as the culmination of the design principles, technical skills, and product development processes explored throughout the semester. The assignment required the integration of all techniques and concepts covered in the course, beginning with targeted market research and seasonal trend forecasting.

Based on a selected target market and forecasted trends for a specific season and year, I developed a cohesive print direction that included one focal print supported by four coordinating patterns. These designs were then applied across a series of five cohesive outfits, demonstrating consistency in color story, silhouette development, and overall collection identity.

Western-wear 2017

This project was developed in response to a design brief provided by Urban Western Wear as part of an annual design competition. The objective was to create a collection of three original T-shirt graphics that aligned with the brand's target audience, aesthetic direction, and screen-print production requirements outlined in the brief.
